1) Call for Papers
The NeurIPS 2024 Call for Papers is now live!
Key dates:
- Abstract submission deadline: May 15, 2024 01:00 PM PDT
- Full paper submission deadline: May 22, 2024 01:00 PM PDT
- Author notification: Sep 25, 2024

An OpenReview profile will be required for submitting the papers, so authors are encouraged to set up their profile well before the full paper submission deadline. . Your OpenReview profile can be edited by logging in and clicking on your name in https://openreview.net/.
Submissions will open on April 22, 2024, and can be accessed here: https://openreview.net/group?id=NeurIPS.cc/2024/Conference
Subscribe to these and other dates on the 2024 dates page.
2) Call for Dataset and Benchmarks Papers
For the fourth time, the Datasets and Benchmarks track will accept submissions on new machine learning datasets and benchmarks. This track has tailored reviewing guidelines that are specific to the needs of dataset development and the distribution of data oriented work.
Key dates:
- Abstract Submission Deadline: May 29, 2024 AoE
- Paper Deadline: June 5, 2024, AoE
For more information, see the call for papers: https://neurips.cc/Conferences/2024/CallForDatasetsBenchmarks
3) Call for Workshop Proposals
Workshops on a variety of current topics will be held on December 14 and 15 this year. We will provide more details in NeurIPS 2024 Guidance for Workshop Proposals.
We invite researchers interested in organizing these workshops to submit proposals. Workshop organizers have several responsibilities, including coordinating workshop participation and content, publicizing and providing the program in a timely manner, and moderating the program throughout the workshop.
Key dates:
- Workshop Application Open: April 22, 2024
- Workshop Application Deadline: Jun 7, 2024, AoE
- Workshop Acceptance Notification: July 12, 2024, AoE
- Suggested Submission Date for Workshop Contributions: August 30, 2024, AoE
- Mandatory Accept/Reject Notification Date: September 30, 2024, AoE

4) Call for Tutorials
NeurIPS 2024 welcomes proposals for in-person tutorials on either core machine learning topics or topics of emerging importance for machine learning, broadly construed. We will consider any topic, so long as the proposal makes a strong argument that the tutorial is important for the NeurIPS community. Tutorials should be of interest to a substantial portion of the community and should represent a sufficiently mature area of research or practice. Tutorials are expected to be accessible to PhD candidates working in other areas of the NeurIPS community, i.e. some part of the tutorial may need to be spent on covering necessary background material.
Key dates:
- Deadline for submission: Jun 14, 2024 AOE
- Final Decisions: Aug 02, 2024

5) Registration and Visa Information
Registration for NeurIPS 2024 is now open!
NeurIPS 2024 is committed to facilitating the participation of a global community. We understand the complexities and challenges associated with obtaining a Canadian visa, and have compiled visa information at https://neurips.cc/Conferences/2024/Visa. To support attendees that may need a visa in this process, we strongly encourage early registration for the conference.
By registering promptly, participants can secure a visa invitation letter in advance of their visa appointments. We recognize that uncertainties exist, and in the unfortunate event of a visa denial, attendees have the option to cancel and refund their registration, as detailed in our cancellation policy (https://neurips.cc/FAQ/CancellationPolicy). Our goal is to ensure that NeurIPS 2024 is accessible to all who wish to attend, and we are here to assist you every step of the way.
6) Call for High School Projects
This year, we invite high school students to submit research projects on the topic of machine learning for social impact. A subset of finalists will be selected to present their projects virtually and will have their work spotlighted on the NeurIPS homepage. In addition, the leading authors of up to five winning projects will be invited to attend an award ceremony at NeurIPS 2024 in Vancouver.
